This website has been started because CEO Jeff Mezger and other executives at KB Home, have chosen to ignore us and our many requests they "buy back" this home.

Do you live in a KB Homes in the following development: KB HOME, BRIDGEWATER CLASSIC COLLECTION, 2560 BRIDGEWATER LAKES WAY, LAKELAND, FL 33805or one of the adjoining streets in this subdivision?

Does KB blame you for not purchasing a high-end custom home? Since you didn't pay us enough - it's your tough luck. KB Home's "Built South of the Border" experience enables buyers to pay for additional brand-name design options at high prices at the KB Home Studio, generally considered standard and better quality on other builder's offerings. These cheaply built upgrades are often overly priced headaches in the long run. KB charges a premium, you get the cheapest item and lowest quality this homebuilder can find than what you could have done yourself. Then KB has to fix what they did - it takes them at least 3 times to get it right.

We've had our toilets out 15 times - with flooding on more than one occasion, the last time they broke the toilet in the Master bathroom in half. The replaced commode is now 2 different colors - it does not match (tank and bowl). That was December the 19th, 2008, it's now August 2010 and we still have a color mismatch and black mold in the bathroom, a squeaky floor they tore up and never fixed. KB will find every excuse in the book to not do the work correctly or professionally and on time. They want to go under the bathtub, through the closet wall. This way they can hide the fact that there is the black mold under the tub and not disclose it to us. We emptied our closets on many occasions for KB. Any professional plumber would pull up the tub in the bathroom. But since KB locked the tub's removal into the bathroom by moving it in, finishing the framing. The tub can't come out thru the door anymore - the bathroom door is smaller than the size of the tub, the bathroom window is smaller as well. If the window is touched we may discover it too does not have the required weather stripping in the walls and around the window to prevent leaks. Remember only 1 out of my 17 windows has been verified/repaired with the required parts.

Consistent with KB Home's standing as the most investigated homebuilder in the USA, The Open Series homes are built using the lowest-quality materials and components and are backed by KB Home's 10-Year Limited Warranty - which they will be in your home every week trying to fix their mistakes. The FTC has an order that KB must fix your home completely within 1 year - KB ignores this fact - the FTC is lazy (Why won't they enforce the law - KB does not disclose the consent order). KB Home homebuyers will never get any the peace of mind that comes from choosing a company that has been taking the fast buck, CEO's who are only concerned with their own profits (stock manipulators), and building inferior homes for more than (50) years, oh year they may have built a few good ones a while back, we have not seen one - have you? The model homes are not what you're actually getting - yours will not be the same as presented, another bait 'n switch KB Home standard.

All of the PR KB Home is shoveling about their... "The Open Series" in Tucson, Las Vegas and other communities has yet to be substantiated. A KB Home Sucks would like to see an independent third party evaluate any KB claim of any energy savings over the business as usual KB Home. My KB Home was sold to me as the latest in energy efficient home, KB lied, there is no substantial gain, less than 3" of insulation in parts of the attic (blown in). Our Air conditioner broke down twice in the first month. It was never fully corrected, it has been jerry rigged, it's supposed to have 2 zones (upstairs/downstairs), with 2 units outside, it has 1 unit both zones are wired together. See the latest Update aIr conditioner blows out 3 years in a row. No air vents were put in the roof to let the heat out. KB never noticed this fact and over a year later when other homes in our subdivision were fabricated. We noticed the air vents KB never noticed the missing vents. We questioned three KB Home customer service reps... "What do you notice different between our house and the other houses in the neighborhood?" Not one could come up with this answer (not observant). Where was the handbook of KB's used to check off and verify - every part of the house in the right place? No one at KB Home can produce the blueprint of this homes design?
